【摘要】:Theresistancetoabrasionoftextilematerialsisaffectedbymanyfactorsinacomplexmanner.Theresultsobtainedfromtheuseofthisinstrumentassistinevaluatingthesefactorsrelativetothewearserviceabilityofthefinaltextileproductinspecificenduses.Theresistancetoabrasionisaffectedbymanyfactorsthatincludetheinherentmechanicalpropertiesofthefibers;thedimensionsofthefibers;thestructureoftheyarns;theconstructionofthefabrics;thetype,kind,amountoftreatmentaddedtothefibers,yarnsorfabric;thenatureoftheabradant;thetensiononthespecimen;thepressurebetweenthespecimenandtheabradant;andthedimensionalchangesinthespecimen.Experiencehasshowninmanyinstances,thatrelativeresultsobtainedwiththisinstrumentwhenusedonaseriesoffabrics,agreedwiththoseobtainedbaseduponperformanceinenduse.However,cautionisadvisedbecauseanomalousresultsmayoccurduetouncontrolledfactorsinmanufacturingorotherprocesses.Specificinstanceshavebeendescribed.,,,Inanyevent,anomalousresultsshouldbestudiedtofurtherunderstandthecomplexbehaviorthatmayoccurasaresultofabrasionthatmayinturnassistinthedevelopmentofmoredurablefabrics.Testingsomespecimensunderx201C;wetx201D;conditionscanaddanotherdimensiontotheevaluationofsometextiles.Suchtestingunderx201C;wetx201D;conditionscanhelpascertaintheeffectofchangesinafabric''sresistancetoabrasionwhenitbecomeswet.Thistestcanalsoincreasetheuniformityoftheabradingactionbywashingawayabrasiondebrisandpreventingthebuildupofbrokenfibersthatcaninterferewiththeproperprogressionofthetests.Thistestisusedasaguideinevaluatingtextilesinqualitycontrolandinresearch.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,thetestsamplesshouldbeusedthatareashomogenousaspossible,thataredrawnfromthematerialfromwhichthedisparatetestresultswereobtained,andthatarerandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Otherfabricswithestablishedtestvaluesmaybeusedforthispurpose.Thetestresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheracausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.Thistestisuniqueandissignificantlydifferentfromanyotherexistingabradingtest.Thisguidemayalsobeusedasatechniqueforpretreatingmaterialforsubsequenttesting.Forexample,apredeterminednumberofabrasioncyclesatspecifiedtestconditionsmaybeperformedonaseriesofspecimens,whicharethensubjectedtoastrengthorbarrierperformancetest.Theresistanceoftextilematerialstoabrasionasmeasuredbythisguidedoesnotincludeallthefactorswhichaccountforwearperformanceordurabilityinactualuse.Whilethex201C;abrasionresistancex201D;statedintermsofthenumberofcyclesandx201C;durabilityx201D;(definedastheabilitytowithstanddeteriorationorwearingoutinuse,includingtheeffectsofabrasion)arefrequentlyrelated.Therelationshipvarieswithdifferentenduses,anddifferentfactorsmaybenecessaryi......
