【摘要】:Thistestmethodissuitableforsettingspecificationsonphenolandforuseasaninternalqualitycontroltoolwherephenolisproducedorisusedinamanufacturingprocess.Itmayalsobeusedindevelopmentorresearchworkinvolvingphenol.Itisgenerallyappliedtodeterminingthosecommonlyoccurringimpuritiessuchasmesityloxide,cumene,hydroxyacetone,acetone,alpha-methylstyrene,2-methylbenzofuran,acetophenone,o-cresol,andmx0026;p-cresol.Purityiscommonlyreportedbysubtractingthedeterminedexpectedimpuritiesfrom100.00.However,agaschromatographicanalysiscannotdetermineabsolutepurityifwaterispresentorunknowncomponentsarecontainedwithinthematerialbeingexamined.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofknownimpuritiesinphenolbygaschromatography(GC).Itisgenerallymeantfortheanalysisofphenolof99.9%orgreaterpurity.1.2Thistestmethodhasbeenfoundapplicableoverimpurityconcentrationsof15to70mg/kg.Usersofthismethodbelieveitislinearoverawiderrange.1.3Indeterminingtheconformanceofthetestresultsusingthismethodtoapplicablespecifications,resultsshallberoundedoffinaccordancewiththerounding-offmethodofPracticeE29.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection9.
