【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtoinvestigatetheresistanceofaglenoidcomponenttoloosening.Glenoidlooseningisthemostcommonclinicalcomplicationintotalshoulderarthroplasty(seeX1.1).Themethodassumesthatlooseningoccursbecauseofedgeloading,oftencalledtherocking-horsephenomenon.Thistestmethodcanbeusedbothtodetectpotentialproblemsandtocomparedesignfeatures.Factorsaffectinglooseningperformanceincludearticulargeometry,flangegeometry,materials,fixationdesign,bonequality,andsurgicaltechnique.1.1Thesetestmethodsmeasurehowmuchaprostheticglenoidcomponentrocksorpivotsfollowingcyclicdisplacementofthehumeralheadtoopposingglenoidrims(forexample,superior-inferiororanterior-posterior).Performanceisjudgedbythetensiledisplacementoppositeeachloadedrimafterdynamicrocking.1.2Thesamesetupcanbeusedtotestthelockingmechanismofmodularglenoidcomponents,forexample,fordisassociation.1.3Thesetestmethodscovershoulderreplacementdesignswithmonolithicormodularglenoidcomponentsforcementedfixation.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
