【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesameansformeasuringathicknessdimension.Accuratemeasurementofthicknesscanbecriticaltomeetingspecificationsandcharacterizingprocess,product,andmaterialperformance.Thistestmethoddoesnotaddressacceptabilitycriteria.Theseneedtobejointlydeterminedbytheuserandproduceroftheproduct.RepeatabilityandreproducibilityofmeasurementisshowninthePrecisionandBiassection.Attentionshouldbegiventotheinherentvariabilityofmaterialsbeingmeasuredasthiscanaffectmeasurementoutcome.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthicknessofflexiblepackagingmaterialsusingcontactmicrometers.1.2ThePrecisionandBiasstatementforthistestmethodwasdevelopedusingbothhandheldandbenchtopmicrometerswithfootsizesrangingfrom4.8to15.9mm(3/16to5/8in.).1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
