【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesaPROCESSforaMANUFACTURERtoanalyse,specify,design,VERIFYandVALIDATEUSABILITY,asitrelatestoSAFETYofaMEDICALDEVICE.ThisUSABILITYENGINEERINGPROCESSassessesandmitigatesRISKScausedbyUSABILITYproblemsassociatedwithCORRECTUSEandUSEERRORS,i.e.NORMALUSE.ItcanbeusedtoidentifybutdoesnotassessormitigateRISKSassociatedwithABNORMALUSE.NOTEForthepurposesofthisstandard,USABILITY(see3.17)islimitedtocharacteristicsoftheUSERINTERFACE.IftheUSABILITYENGINEERINGPROCESSdetailedinthisInternationalStandardhasbeencompliedwithandtheacceptancecriteriadocumentedintheUSABILITYVALIDATIONplanhavebeenmet(see5.9),thentheRESIDUALRISKS,asdefinedinISO14971,associatedwithUSABILITYofaMEDICALDEVICEarepresumedtobeacceptable,unlessthereisOBJECTIVEEVIDENCEtothecontrary(see4.1.2).ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotapplytoclinicaldecision-makingrelatingtotheuseofaMEDICALDEVICE.
